We worked with Westfield’s in-house production team to present the world’s first MUSIC CUBE; a bespoke sound proof glass cube in which 40 artists including Professor Green, Scouting For Girls and MNEK performed to a captivated audience via state-of-the-art Sennheiser URBANITE headphones.
We produced a broadcast of the gig shown throughout the venue and streamed live online, captured by five Sony HDC1500 broadcast cameras alongside three Panasonic HE120 pan and tilt cameras and a Bradley HD-15 Mini camera, which was setup to capture close up action from inside the cube. We were so pleased to work with the exceptional Director Phil Jennings on Music Cube.
For each performance, we took to Westfield’s brand new Vision Gallery, an onsite broadcast suite, to produce the live broadcast. We integrated the venue’s facilities with our HD Portable Production Unit allowing us to produce the event without any OB units.
MUSIC CUBE integrated a customised social media overlay onto its broadcast using our Hashtag Live platform to presented real-time messages from fans. By visualising the comments posted on Twitter using the hashtag #MUSICCUBE, the event connected and engaged music fans both in attendance as well as those watching remotely.
