We travelled from stage to screen with Queen and Adam Lambert to transform the content we produced for the spectacular worldwide tour (link to other case study) for a live television setting as the band took over BBC 1 on New Year’s Eve with Queen & Adam Lambert Rock Big Ben Live broadcast from Westminster Central Hall in London.
Working with our original content that featured a mix of animation and archive live footage, including some that was cut from the final production of the tour and replaced with live feeds for the larger venues, we reformatted everything for the new display dimensions and re-programmed the new time codes.
The LED displays were replaced by projection so to ensure the content remained vibrant without this additional light source, we added extra effects into the animated portion so the striking nature of the design still translated to audiences both in the room and at home. Media server control was looked after by James Adkins of Really Creative Media on the night.
